Can you line three big coins before your opponent?
Poke, a strategic two-player board game. Placing a coin pushes the others around it one space outward, yours included. First player to get three big coins in a row, wins.
Built for mobile browsers. Also works on desktop and tablets (ipads included). It can be installed on your home screen.
Simple rules:
- Each player starts with eight small coins and a 6x6 board.
- Placing a coin pushes all others around it one space outward, yours included.
- A coin pushed off the edge goes back to its owner's pool.
- Small coins cannot push big coins. Big coins push anything. A push is blocked when the space behind is taken, and nothing chains.
- Line up three of your own coins with at least one small coin among them and they promote: back into your pool as big coins.
- Three big coins in a row ends the game.
- Getting all eight big coins onto the board at once also wins.
- Turns run on a 60-second timer, and letting it expire forfeits the match. Closing the tab forfeits it too.
"Quick Game" pairs you with whoever else is waiting. "Create Game" makes a private room with a link to send to a friend. Both start at poke.gatomocho.com.
